//MISSION UPDATE
It felt appropriate that our first posted Recon Report would be from the Capitol of the greatest Human superpower, Washington D.C., not long after its Semiquincentennial. As usual, our true nature is undetected even when interacting directly with Humans. The city felt less celebratory than expected, but all citizens observed were in generally good spirits.
//ARTISTIC OBSERVATIONS
//ID 1338-01
On the way to our destination, I noticed this whimsical sculpture of animals riding a tri-cycle. Monochrome like most sculptures, but it still brought me joy. The thought of two very different animals working together for a common cause was encouraging.

>>A.X.E. NOTE<<
This is clearly a depiction of animals escaping human deforestation using any means necessary. The hippo is not smiling, that is a look of stress. They have already lost one of their animal friends, most likely encased in the concrete "park" behind them.

After arriving at our destination, I was first greeted by this striking mural. I imagined that if I blew hard enough, I could blow the rest of the seeds from the dandelion. The seeds floating across the city, hitting walls, and growing new colorful dandelions.

When I saw this mural, I was overjoyed with the amount of color! I stood near it to let the colors wash over me, refreshing me after our journey. I was fascinated by the use of opposing colors to create clearly defined shapes.

I was immediately drawn to this mural, again using rainbows of color to not only please the eye but also the heart.

ID 1338-03 and 04 both give the appearance of simplicity through straight lines. With closer inspection, I could feel the many hours spent by the artist, taping each and every curve of the roll-up doors.
//H.U.E.
I was so inspired, that I stayed and drew the middle door. Mimicking the art felt easy. The tiniest fraction of time and effort compared to the original artist. Once I finished the colored squares, I realized it wasn't complete until I drew it as I saw it, with the lines of the roll-up door and a portion of the wall. I added it to the pole nearby as a hopeful beacon to my first Envoys.

>>A.X.E. COUNTER-REPORT<<
Multiple pieces of art that you failed to include are indicative of great unrest in the people of Earth. On most U.G.H. planets, major anniversaries of their largest nation are celebrated for the equivalent of months if not the entire year.

Near the Capitol Building, you were visibly nervous we would be identified by local Earth authorities.
It appears they may be using large-scale construction to provide a larger defense perimeter prior to enacting martial law. An interesting strategy, but it reminds me of the Venkitarnian Collapse.
As stated for all previous Recon Reports, Humans do not meet prerequisites for membership in U.G.H.
>>ADMISSION STATUS: DENIED<<
